The Farm Escape is a serene luxury residence located 2 hours from New York City on the border of Pennsylvania and NY State in Shohola, PA. Shohola is Native American meaning peace and tranquility. This property is situated on 5 pastoral acres, overlooking the Catskills of New York. The Farm is a newly renovated 1866 boarding house which was historically used to board patrons of the former Shohola Falls Glenn amusement park which, in its hey day, brought thousands of people each weekend at the turn of the century.
Complete with 6 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, this home offers solace as well as opportunities to gather in the massive gourmet kitchen-living area. There are 4 queen, 1 king, and 2 twin-sized pillow-top beds. You will wake up to fresh pastoral country air and have a farm fresh breakfast with eggs from our chickens, hike, kayak, paint, cook or just do nothing! After all, we all retreat in different ways. *This residence sleeps a total of 12 people this includes infants & children.
Nearby, in Barryville NY (4 minutes from The Farm Escape), is a spectacular award winning country store River Market, which boasts a stupendous gourmet deli, antiques, old fashioned meat market, custard ice cream and specialty foods. The market sits on River Road which overlooks the historic Delaware River and is the host of Sullivan County's award winning farmer's market located in the back yard of River Market (June-Oct).
Our internet phone line has free long distance anywhere in the USA. (The only cell service we get at the farm is Verizon). Once you have arrived you will be greeted by your host and oriented to the ins and outs of the home. Should you need advice on area activities there is a three-ring book at the house filled with suggestions and directions. The earlier you reserve the better.

We host MANY events here. In the past we have had numerous weddings, yoga retreats, fundraisers, barn dances, concerts and parties. Dates and Rates and Terms (in US DOLLARS):

- 3 nights=$1,450
- Weekly=$3,000
- Monthly=$7,000
- 20 percent upcharge for MAJOR Holiday weekends.
$1,000 damage deposit must accompany the fee to book. Security deposit will be fully refunded within 2 weeks, provided that the property is left in tact and in the same "neat" condition it was found at the beginning of the rental period with all original contents undamaged.
Cancellations and Refunds:
Should a tenant cancel a confirmed booking, Tenant will be liable for the full amount of the rental unless the residence is re-rented at no less than the same rate for the same period of time. IF the latter occurs, the Tenant's deposit, rent and any other sums paid to the owner will be refunded less a service charge of 10% of the total rent. There will be no partial refunds for rental parties smaller than anticipated, arriving late, leaving early or no shows.
